Through our PESA program and in partnership with skills acquisition centres, The Olive Plow and Dove Foundation is empowering women and will provide self-employable skills to 1,000 Nigerian women by 2030. Women within our target group include women aged 18 to 38, women fleeing conflict areas, and women from low-income households.

As of May 2026, more than 3.7 women in Nigeria have been driven from their homes by multidimensional conflicts, including banditry, terrorist attacks, farmer-herder clashes, and communal violence. That is almost the entire population of Alberta.
“EYE OF THE WORLD” is our advocacy project to beam a global searchlight on Nigeria and the plights of internally displaced women. Internally displaced women in Nigeria often survive in abysmal camp conditions with minimal food security and a lack of sufficient specialist rehabilitation support. We are amplifying marginalized voices and shedding light on injustices by providing verified, objective accounts of events, exposing human rights abuses, and alerting the world to the plights of these women. We are calling for support through skill acquisition and empowerment to help these women attain a level of independence to the best of their ability.
